Thinking of playing something other than that shredtastic wankfest 'glyphed out nonsense now?

looks like a Les Paul that got his GED.....
Luther Perkins on being asked why he didn't play fancy guitar like those other fellows....The difference is, they are searching for the sound...and I found it.

yeah, looks like a prototype for an (oversized) LP. Apparently only made between '73 and '80. The 6 position pickup switch is cool... otherwise, pretty meh lookin.

I look one over back in the 70's. Wasn't impressed with the "Q System" or
the fact that it was all maple. It was wired up with super-hot Hum bucker P/U's
switchable from single, series or parallel. Gave it like two different guitar sounds.

75 or 76 (not sure yet ), good to very good condition, mostly original ( had a worn fret replaced I guess, but it was done at suburban music) and yes, under $500.

Nice. Seems like a good deal then if the condition is pretty good from what I've seen. Cheapest ones are in the $600 range and depending on the year/model (standard S, Custom, Deluxe, "Midnight Special")/condition can be worth upwards of $1600. Original cases in very good condition go in the $150+ range alone.

You'll also be able to start your old school Carlos Santana tribute band.

Oh yeah, that blows. Open the case up and leave it outside in the sun for a day then hit it with some Fabreeze. Guitar, it may lose its stank after sitting out on a stand for a while. Probably depends on which fretboard wood it has though... if it's Maple (finished), it prob won't be quite as bad. Unfinished fretboards like Ebony or Rosewood will soak up the smell.

I did that for another case I got.... used a whole bottle of fabreeze and left it in my garage for a month. Mostly worked, but not perfect.
