Rainstick - useless percussion item but not at THIS price!

Okay, near the top of the list of percussion items that are cool but you don't want to spend good money on because you will only use them every once in awhile is the rainstick. Probably right below the vibraslap. I've always seen them being like $20+ and thought, "eh...not THAT cool", but ...

20" Zildjian flat-top ride. Paid $80 for it used at BDO years ago. Currently using it for acoustic rock gigs.

Main drawback obviously is no bell, but it does have a great ping to it.

Next purchase is likely to be a Sabian rock ride of some sorts. Gotta get out and try some out.

I was able to get a 24" Evans head from BDO. That was over the summer though, so I don't know if he carries that standard. I have one kit with a 20 and one with a 24. 20 does seem to be the popular size of choice for some time now. I'll admit to liking the 20 cause I seem to get more punch with...
