New York and Coney Island Baby - two favorite records by him. I feel like he was one of those guys that not everything he did was good, but when it was good he hit out of the park.

I don't know if they really don't sound all that different in a band context or if years of playing in bands with guitarists have honed my guitarist-ignoring skills to perfection.

agree 100%....this was my favorite album. Think I had to get a second Lp of it because we warped it so much. Heroin cranked loud, doing shots before going out was a normal routine. Always dug Transformer as well.
