24 Hour Musical Writing Contest

Postby All Change is Good » June 13th, 2014, 10:35am

I am about to embark on one of these things at Musicalfare Theatre.

You get your parameters/subject-matter Friday at 8. Musicians and the director write all night.

The actors come in at 9 in the morning. They must be completely off-book and memorized for the show at 8 on Saturday.

Is there such a thing in the music (non-musical theatre world). Anyone ever do one? How does it work?

Sounds familiar. But with the explosion of music stand usage among local bands lately, that "off-book" part would be a doozy. :D

I made-up, and recorded sound track music for a 24 Hour film fest.

Bullpucky. Aren't you like, really old, and a veteran of the '90s Buffalo original music scene?

pretty much describe every show we play
"I've been told this and it's been proven by research - He who fucks Nuns will later join the Church"
