Refresh my memory RE: putting up flyers around the city

Is it some violation to put up flyers wherever? What are the can do and shouldn't do's of putting up flyers these days?

I don't have an answer, but I'm surprised you'd bother in this day and age unless you have a very specific location in mind.

I run off posters for locations that ask for them, or for places that I know will let you hang a few.

I thought I recalled something about fines for putting up flyers on lamp posts and whatnot. Not sure how that would be enforced or even if it's true.

I see show posters up all over the city, haven't heard of anyone getting fines.

Why not try putting flyers on a bulletin board in some establishment. Just ask them if its okay that you can put your flyers or try giving it to them personally.

To answer your first question it is a violation to post fliers on city property. I havent heard of anyone accually get one.i myself have put up thousands of fliers up over the years with out getting one but have been warned a couple times by shop owners and such. Dont let it stop you ! Flier the city. In this day age of the internet i think its fallen to the way side but think it still has an important place in promotion but maybe im just oldschool. I will say that certain areas in the city are pretty quick about taking them down (ie: most of elmwood). Good luck and get them up!!
