"It's about sound quality. I don't need my music to be devalued by the worst quality in the history of broadcasting or any other form of distribution. I don't feel right allowing this to be sold to my fans. It's bad for my music."

I tend to agree with him that the audio quality of streaming music is shit. However I'm guilty of being a Spotify subscriber out of convenience. Kids are so used to cell phone concert footage and streaming audio that I doubt anyone will even care.

I pay for unlimited data so I have my spotify set at the highest quality.

Neil's just bummed that his Pono bullshit flopped.

Neil refunded all the money from the CD sales of his back catalog, right? I hope so. I'm kind of kidding about that. But people made a boatload of money when CDs were introduced and everyone was buying up the same music they already had, just in a different format. It seems like the way things are now is almost like payback for that. It's kind of ironic, I think, that the digitization that everyone profited from is now causing all these problems. Kind of off topic of the sound quality issue... It'd be great if the audio from cell phones some day catches up to the video. I can take pics now that would put Ansel Adams to shame.

Hi-fi, lo-fi, wifi.....whatever. as long as it makes his voice less irritating. Stupid falsetto. I mean, he sounds crazy- horse half the time. I stills wants ta nash my teeth listening to him.
I don't know if they really don't sound all that different in a band context or if years of playing in bands with guitarists have honed my guitarist-ignoring skills to perfection.
