Mackie 808s LEDs pegged to red

Postby drumthoughts » October 19th, 2015, 2:35pm

Was wondering if anyone had any experience or knows of someone who works on Mackie equipment. Particularly a powered mixer 808s. This is been very gently used and when I went to turn it on the other day LEDs pegged to red and will not release. It seems to be operating fine not overdriving, microphones work, instruments work at normal levels, no over heating and yet the LEDs are pegged. Appreciate any suggestions or referrals to tech people

It sounds Luke a phantom power issue to me but I really don't know.
I don't know if they really don't sound all that different in a band context or if years of playing in bands with guitarists have honed my guitarist-ignoring skills to perfection.
