Why an Out of town Dj at Rendezvous?!

Out of all the quality and available Dj's and producers available locally, Why did rendezvous bring is some cookie cutter from NC.? He even advertises that he plays birthday parties and barmitzvas?!?!?! REALLY WTF?! like the equivalent of a lounge singer! really, really sad. Unless theirs something I'm missing.
