bass gigs

Postby jahj » August 17th, 2013, 9:38pm

Any other productive suggestions on how to get the word out? I am looking for a gig with a working band. I have about 8 good MP3s of my capabilities/style/tone. Thanks

Productive Suggestions:

Start your own band.
Ensure you are studying with a great teacher (i.e professional player/educator with heavy duty creds.)
Be persistent.
Hone your "elevator speech."
Network (in the real world...)

The late Jim Kurzdorfer once told me something like: There are three reasons one should take a gig; Education, Money, or Fun.
